Mar. 2004: M. Sc. from Department of Intelligence Science and Technology, Graduate School of Informatics, Kyoto University.
Mar. 2007: PhD in Informatics from the same univeristy.
From Apr. 2005 to Mar. 2007: Research Fellow (DC2), Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.
From Apr. 2007 to Mar. 2010: PostDoc researcher for the CrestMuse Project, Foundation of Technology Supporting the Creation of Digital Media Contents, Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), belonging to Katayose Laboratory, School of Science and Technology, Kwansei Gakuin University.
From Apr. 2010 to Mar. 2013: Assistant Professor at Department of Computer Science and System Analysis, College of Humanities and Sciences, Nihon University
From Apr. 2013 to Mar. 2014: Assistant Professor at Department of Information Science of the same university (due to the name change of the department)
From Apr. 2014 to present: Associate Professor at the same university

Research interests: music informatics, computational auditory scene analysis, and their related fields
